Four rules were compared:
(By the way, the only 4 I could find in the shop)

The Story
I've been using Lowdman's Scale Ruler to align objects in different rooms such as the Vaganova Arts Academy room. According to the description of the product, "Scale is based on the IMVU default avatar being 5'feet 7.5''inches tall".
5' 7" 1/2  is equvalent to 67.5 inches or , in MKS units, 1.7145 meters ( 171.45cm).
(I liked that from the begining  because being 1.70+ is cool.)

The problem has arisen now that we need developing some new movements and actions for our ballet routines and started to deal with center of mass movement, inertia momentum and physical stuff. In short we need to know how the mass in the body is distributed and consequently stared to measure limbs, torso, hands, feet, etc.
We have good scales and rules to measure them in the photoshop and some other graphic programs, but we wanted to measure them in situ, in IMVU environment. And w got some surprises. The first one is that different rules don't match with each other. What do you mean, Am I  not 1.70m in height any more?

I guess it all can be resolved by resizing the rules according to their scales and taking one of them as a reference. We will do that, bear with it and be happy. But it is important that we and the creators wh made this rules  take notice of this detail.

Anyway, we are very thankful to creators who made these rules because of their endevor, dedication and care about details. It takes a good and outstanding  mind to make 4 furniture rules standing instead of just summing to the  millions of furnitures with hedonistic poses and other stuff.

The Comparison

In brief, they don't match with each other. Feet in one rule may be longer than in the others.
If you do the exercise of loading the products and putting them together so as to compare them, you will find yourself astonished by the fact that they dont match.

And yes, I bought them all because ach one of them is useful by its own or in combination with the others.
The big Lowdman's rule is a good reference but it is not useful to measure an arm or a leg with a milimiters precision. The smaller rules can do that job.
This article is far from being a complaint. It is just to share what we learn in the field doing some stuff and to make creators, of the rules and those who use them,  aware of this phenomenon.

Trying to use the rules to measure In Situ

At this point one may wonder, why is this girl so touchy, choosy and finicky about precision and measurments?
because it matters a lot at the time of calculating speeds, accelerations  in an animation dealing with a ballet routine, which is the underlying purpose of all these efforts.

So quaternions is not all;  things do move in a certain way in nature. Timely positions as a result of a first impulse must ressemble that what is real. And dimensions weight at the moment of reacting to an impulse.
